Privacy notice

What we collect

We collect your email, dog profiles, photos you upload, email preferences, and account activity. PupMail Monthly also requires a shipping address, order and membership history, payment-provider references, and authorization records. Authentication codes are stored as hashes and expire; payment card numbers are entered on Stripe's pages, not stored by PupMail.

How it is used

We use this information to operate your account, send requested emails, select suitable non-repeat toys, process authorized payments, fulfill monthly deliveries, provide support, and prevent misuse. Optional email preferences do not control necessary account, order, security, payment, reminder, or cancellation messages. We do not use a dog's name as a unique account identifier.

Service providers

Our hosting and email providers process data needed to run the service. Stripe processes payment, billing, and fraud-prevention information. Shipping providers receive information needed to deliver orders. These providers also process data under their applicable notices and legal obligations.

Public photos and community profiles

Photos stay private unless you separately allow public Meet the Pups display consideration and we approve them. Public displays may show dog-related details. We do not display your account email or shipping address. Keep private information out of anything you write or upload publicly. Withdrawing permission removes the photo from future public display on PupMail; it cannot recall copies others already saved while it was public. We do not include customer photos in downloadable software packages.

If you separately enable a Meet the Pups community profile, we also display the dog profile information you choose, such as bio, personality, favorite things, and optional city/state-style home turf. Dog-to-dog Messages are visible to the recipient household and may also be reviewed by PupMail administrators for moderation, support, safety, service quality, or abuse prevention. We do not display owner emails, delivery addresses, or payment information on community profiles.

Digital community gifts

When you use the Bone Balance, we store your Bone balance, Bone-pack purchase references, and which dog sent or received a digital Bone gift. Stripe processes the payment information for paid Bone packs. Recipients can see the sending dog and the digital Bone gift, but owner payment information is not shared.

Optional PupMail emails

You can use free PupMail without joining optional marketing emails, and you can join PupMail Monthly regardless of that preference. When you opt in, marketing emails may include product introductions and offers. When frequency controls are available in My PupMail, you can limit regular notes to about weekly or every four weeks. You can turn optional notes off whether or not those frequency controls are available. The first month may contain a few more spaced welcome notes. Birthday or Gotcha Day greetings and optional dog-to-dog Message notifications are separate. Use the unsubscribe link or My PupMail to pause optional PupMail emails. Account, security, membership, payment, shipping, and cancellation messages remain separate because they are needed to operate the service.

Cookies and measurement

Essential cookies support login and security, including an optional remembered-device login. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures public-page activity. Optional Meta measurement loads only after you choose Allow in Cookie settings; it can report a public page visit and a new-owner registration to Meta. No Meta Pixel or Cloudflare beacon is placed on private account, payment, order, code-entry, or administrator pages. We do not send your contact-form text, shipping address, authentication code, or private dog photos to these measurement tools.

You can change the Meta choice from Cookie settings in any public-page footer. Recognized Global Privacy Control signals are treated as a request not to enable Meta measurement. Browser blocking may prevent analytics. These choices do not change essential service communications.

Retention and your choices

Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes; background cleanup removes old authentication records. You can edit dog profiles, turn a Meet the Pups community profile or dog-to-dog mail off, revoke public photo permission, delete photos, unsubscribe from optional PupMail emails, and pause or cancel PupMail Monthly in My PupMail. Contact support to request access, correction, or account deletion. We verify control of the email first. We may retain payment, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legally required accounting records where needed for legal obligations and legitimate recordkeeping rather than deleting an outstanding financial record.

Keep your email account secure. No internet service can promise absolute security. Suspected unauthorized account activity should be reported to support immediately. The service is intended for adult pet owners, not children.
